Our random ashlar patterns are supplied as a mix of 12 sizes. These stone styles form so many of our character local buildings, so they really feel at home in SA. It is easy to see why. They have a real artisan feel with their mixed sizes and textured finishes.
These can either be laid in a random ashlar pattern, with the sizes mixed through to create a heritage reference. Or coursed ashlar, with consistent heights aligned in horizontal rows, which creates a linear composition and can work on a contemporary build and will not get lost on narrow sections.
This sandstone features the wavy veining that is a much-loved characteristic of sandstone. It also brings colour variation and a split face texture. With unique texture, colour, and veining on each piece, it adds character to any building project.
